Thai Chakri Dress: A very formal gold or silver metal-thread brocade evening dress named after the Chakri Maha Prasat Hall at the Grand Palace, this style features a skirt with a front pleat and an attached traditional Thai shoulder cloth. It is often embellished with embroidery. Thai Chakri is worn primarily for royal ceremonies, but brides-to-be may also wear it for daytime engagement or wedding ceremonies.
