Sabai or Pha Biang(ผ้าเบี่ยง) is a shawl-like garment or breast cloth. A Sabai is worn by both women and men. It is a long piece of silk that is about a foot wide and is draped diagonally around the chest by covering one shoulder while its end drops behind the back.✦ Traditional Thai clothing "Chut Thai: ชุดไทย" which literally means “Thai outfit”, is traditional Thai clothing. Chut Thai has a very long history and the style has changed from different eras, depending on the influence of the power from neighboring countries or foreign countries who came to trade with us.
✦ ชุดไทยพระราชนิยม | The Eight Styles is known in Thai as “Phra Rajaniyom” (Royal Favour). Her Majesty Queen Sirikit and her aides had research conducted into historical records of royal dresses to develop and promote the eight styles of national costumes. Differences in form, fabric and levels of formality characterize each style.
