✦ Phu Thai Dance 🌹
การฟ้อนภูไทเรณูนคร: The dance of the ‘Phu Thai’ ethnic group is performed in festivals during the 5th and 6th lunar months. Although the dancers do not perform synchronically, the dance entertains the audience with beautiful postures from the dancing couples, male and female.
Besides the rare dance, the ‘Phu Thai’ welcome tourists with their typical ‘Bai Si Su Khwan’ welcoming ceremony, ‘Pha Laeng’ traditional dinner, and ‘U’ local fermented liquor from the jar. Available at Ban Phu Thai, Amphoe Renu Nakhon, the dance and dinner can be arranged for prior booking.

✦ Phu Tai Renu Nakhon people have a relationship with art and culture, particularly the dance that has involved with the way of life such as dance for medical treatment and dance for rocket festival relating to agriculture and farming system. Significantly, there was a traditional dance form in accordance with his majesty King Bhumibol and Queen Sirikit command on 13 November 1955.

✦ As the King and Queen had a royal visit to Wat Phra That Phanom Woramahawihan, Nakhon Phanom Province, The King and Queen invited all ethnic groups in Nakhon Phanom Province and the nearest area to do dance performances in front of the throne.
In addition, Phu Tai Renu Nakhon community has been preserving its uniqueness and identity of dance performances. From the point of preserving the dance uniqueness and identity of Phu Tai Renu Nakhon ethnic group, as a result, the education system has introduced the dance of Phu Tai Renu Nakhonfrom its basic level to higher education.

This community has been honored to represent the province up to the motto of the province. As a result, Thailand is a nation-state, which is disseminating the dance of Phu Tai Renu Nakhon to an international stage. It has been made the community aim at the importance of conservation and development of dance continuously and sustainably.

✦ ฟ้อนภูไทเรณูนครเป็นศิลปะการแสดงพื้นบ้านซึ่งมีเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะ สมัยโบราณหนุ่มสาวจะฟ้อนเพื่อความสนุกสนานในงานเทศกาล ท่ารำมีการดัดแปลงมาจากธรรมชาติ การเดิน การบิน การเต้นของสัตว์ต่าง ๆ และธรรมชาติของต้นไม้

การแสดงชุดนี้เป็นการแสดงที่ได้แสดงเอกลักษณ์ด้านการแต่งกาย การละเล่นของชาวผู้ไทยนิยมแสดงในงานมงคล เทศกาลต่าง ๆ เช่น ปีใหม่ วันสำคัญทางศาสนาหรือตรุษสงกรานต์ การฟ้อนภูไทเรณูนครปัจจุบันเป็นศิลปวัฒนธรรมที่ขึ้นชื่อของอำเภอเรณูนครและของจังหวัดนครพนม
การฟ้อนภูไทเรณูนคร เป็นประเพณีดั้งเดิมของชาวผู้ไทยเดิมนั้นคงไม่เป็นรูปแบบอย่างปัจจุบันนี้ เพราะเน้นความสนุกนานภายในกลุ่มที่ร่วมฟ้อนด้วยกัน ส่วนใหญ่เป็นการฟ้อนของพวกหนุ่มสาวในงานบุญมหาชาติ งานนมัสการพระธาตุเรณูนคร ซึ่งต่อมาหัวหน้าการประถมศึกษาอำเภอเรณูนคร มีความคิดปรับปรุงการฟ้อนภูไทให้เป็นแบบแผนเพื่อง่ายต่อการฝึกหัดและเป็นเอกลักษณ์ในการฟ้อนภูไท จึงได้เชิญผู้มีอาวุธโสประจำหมู่บ้านที่ฟ้อนภูไทเก่ง มาร่วมคิดประดิษฐ์ท่ารำต่าง ๆ จนเป็นแบบแผนมาจนถึงปัจจุบัน
