♦️ Thai Traditional Costume during the Late Reign of King Vajiravudh (Rama VI) ✧

✦ Thai dress during the reign of King Rama VI of Siam (Thailand) During 1920-1930, Thai costume for women was influenced by European fashion.
✦ Thai ladies in this period wore a European style such as lace blouses and hip-length or knee-length decorated with ribbons, beads, or pearls.
✦ Headdresses were made of plain fabrics or diamond-studded fabrics or pearls.
✦ The skirt was still used with knee-length stockings and a pair of high heels.
✦ Women's hairstyles aspired to be exotic and sleek, with hair worn close to the head. If one had long hair, it was pulled back in a small, low chignon. Bobs were cut in tapered layers so that the hair would lie as flat as possible.

♦️ Period 1: The style of dress of Thai ladies in this day will get more Western influences, such as ham sleeve shirts, and lace shirts that were popularly worn from the reign of King Rama V until the beginning of King Rama VI. นอกจากจะเป็นประโยชน์ด้านการศึกษาประวัติศาสตร์ของชาติแล้ว ยังก่อให้เกิดความรู้สึกภาคภูมิใจในความรุ่งเรืองแห่งสติปัญญา ความรู้ ความประพฤติของเหล่าบรรพบุรุษ เพราะไม่มีสิ่งใดเลยที่จะด้อยน้อยหน้าชาวโลก และยังไม่สายเกินกว่าที่คนยุคปัจจุบันจะนำภูมิปัญญาเหล่านั้นกลับมาใช้เพื่อประกาศถึงความเป็นประเทศอารยธรรมสูงส่งประเทศหนึ่งในโลก.
