'The Battle of Phra Ram (Rama) and Tosakanth (Ravana)'

At Wat Khanon Temple, Ratchaburi Province

Nang Yai (หนังใหญ่) is a form of shadow play in Thailand. The puppets are made by the leather and the performed scenes are usually from Ramakien; the Thai version of Ramayana.

This art performance was possibly existed since Sukhothai era and became a leading form of entertainment from Ayutthaya to Rattanakosin.
