Phanom Rung Festival or Traditional Ascent Of Phanom Rung Hill (ประเพณีขึ้นเขาพนมรุ้ง) is held annually to worship Lord Shiva and to celebrate the special phenomenon when the ray of sunset passing though all 15 doorways of the temple to another side which occurs only 4 times in a year, 2 times for sunrise (April and September) and another 2 times for sunset (March and October).
