Yada Narilya at Phanom Rung Festival 🇹🇭

Queen Phupinthar Lakshmi Devi was the mother of Narentrathit (นเรนทราทิตย์) who was the ruler and the builder of Prasat Hin Phanom Rung in the area of nowadays Buriram province, Thailand.

Phanom Rung festival is held annually to worship Shiva god and to celebrate the special phenomenon when the ray of sunset passing though all 15 doorways of the temple to another side which occurs only 4 times in a year, 2 times for sunrise (April and September) and another 2 times for sunset (March and October).

Apsara is the symbol of Thailand and Thai-Style apsara is very popular in Cambodia. The Cambodians usually copy Thai apsara and abandon their own Princess Buppha Devi's version.
