Royal Ploughing Ceremony is an ancient royal tradition in Thailand and some neighboring countries like Myanmar and Sri Lanka to mark the traditional beginning of the rice growing season and to honour farmers and bless the plants.

In Thailand, the ceremony is held during the month of May at Sanam Luang, an open field in front of the grand palace. In 2024, the ceremony will take place on May 10th.
