Golden Boy Arrived Home on May 20, 2024 🇹🇭

The 900-year-old Golden Boy statue was returned to Thailand on May 20, 2024, after being smuggled out of the country in 1975 and spending more than 30 years at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

Although traditionally identified as the Hindu god Shiva, some archaeologists believe it may represent King Jayavarman VI. The statue is now on display at the Bangkok National Museum.
