✦ The dancer of Lanna culture in Northern Thailand.
Northern Thai music and dance traditions are associated with the mainstream population of the region, synonymously referred to as the Lanna people, Lanna-Thai, or khon muang (city people).

Traditionally, the dances of the Lanna people were extremely passionate and free. Unlike the neighboring dances from Bangkok, Lanna dances were not performed in rigid, structured lines. They were more flexible dances that focused on passion instead of perfection. For these dances, the women would wear beautiful sinh (tube Skirts), and the men would be bare-chested.
